In January I, along with the entire Yoga With Adrienne community, started her 30 Days of Yoga video series. Adrienne is a super fun, adorable, knowledgable, and down-to-earth yogi from Austin, TX. Through her videos she has inspired an amazing online community of yogis of all backgrounds and skill-levels. She caters to her viewers want for the physical aspect of yoga as well as their mental and emotional well-being. She always seems to say just what I need to hear!
Anyways, one point of this post is to highlight the fact that on today, June 2nd, 2015, I have still not completed the 30 Days of Yoga. In fact I did day 21 yesterday and have plans to do 22 today, but no promises. Another and more important point of this post is to say that IT IS OKAY that I have turned what was supposed to be 30 days into 5 plus months. Totally OK!
The entire point of the 30 day series is to incorporate yoga into your daily life and figure out how it works for YOU. That also means that you have to be easy on yourself and meet yourself where you are. To do that you must be honest with yourself.
If practicing everyday is not reasonable or achievable for you then you don't have to do that! It can certainly be a goal that you set and look at and say "someday!", but if you put too much on your plate from the get-go then you are going to come up short and become discouraged.
So meet yourself where you honestly are and start there! It doesn't matter how long it takes!
