I wanted to take a blog post to tell everyone that you have to believe in yourself. I recently just wrapped up a massive semester long group project. UGH! I will not go into details because every time I think about the class my heart starts to beat faster, my chest tightens and my eye twitches. So don't make me do it. I will say that it tested the bounds of my Type A tendencies waaaaaay to much.
So anyways, the last piece in our assignments is a peer evaluation sheet. Our entire class is only 8 people. The evaluatuon sheet had spaces for 8 people so It dawned on me that I will have to evaluate myself. All of the questions were on a scale of one to five. I went through many theories- not even rating myself, varying my answers so that I blend in, and finally, giving myself a good rating.
I decided to give myself all 5s! And why wouldn't you give yourself a good score? It's like voting for yourself or bragging about yourself- It's not selfish. I think it is incredibly strong to believe in yourself. I firmly believe I did all of my tasks well and if I don't believe in myself who else will? But BOOM there it is- YOU have to believe in yourself. Believe that you are awesome and give yourself 5's in everything you do!
